Dutch shipowner and operator Royal Wagenborg has acquired MV Veersediep, the first of seven general cargo vessels to be obtained over the next few months from its compatriot shipping company Feederlines.
According to data provided by VesselsValue, the ship’s market value stands at USD 2.46 million.Renamed Zijlborg, the 4,938 gross ton vessel is currently undergoing a paint job.
Built in 2001, the Zijlborg features a length of 118.8 meters and a width of 15.2 meters.The 7,200 dwt ship is equipped with ice class 1A and two box-shaped holds of 39 and 42.8 meters and can carry cargos such as forest products, breakbulk and bulk.
The remaining six vessels to be acquired by the company include two 7,200 dwt vessels, Vechtdiep and Vliediep, as well as four 7,500 dwt ships, Leuvediep, Lingediep, Loodiep and Loenerdiep.
