Keppel Offshore & Marine’s (Keppel O&M) three subsidiaries have won shipping contracts worth a total of nearly S$140m ($110.5m).
The subsidiaries are Keppel Shipyard, Keppel Singmarine and Keppel Nantong Shipyard.
Keppel Shipyard has been contracted by SOFEC to create an external turret mooring system for a FPSO vessel, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2015.
The vessel will operate in the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme fields in Ghana, at water depths of around 1,500m.
Keppel Singmarine has secured three contracts from Bumi Armada Offshore Holdings to build two ice-class supply vessels and an ice-class multi-purpose duty rescue vessel, which are scheduled to be completed and delivered by 2015.
Following completion and delivery, the ice-class vessels will be deployed in the northern part of the Caspian Sea, off the coast of Russia, to support offshore platforms at the Filanovsky oil field.
The vessels will provide services such as the delivery of cargoes, salvage, search and rescue functions, firefighting operations, and towing and tanker mooring operations.
The Bumi Armada contract will add another three vessels to the company’s existing fleet of seven newly built ice-class vessels for the Arctic and Caspian regions.
Keppel Nantong subsidiary also secured an order from KSP Towage to construct two tugs in China.
The tugs are scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of this year and will be chartered for deployment in Malaysia.
