Belkommunmash is just one of a host of exciting new exhibitors looking to make a big impression at this year’s Coach & Bus UK show, taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 2-3 October.
The manufacturer from Belarus has reserved a vehicle stand to promote its eco-friendly and energy-efficient electric buses. Already a familiar sight in Minsk (and numerous cities in Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States), these innovative supercapacitor-powered vehicles (which can transport passengers up to 40km/24 miles in a single charge) will soon be coming to a town near you. Its first RHD model has already been reserved for Nottingham, with more orders expected following its show debut this autumn.
King Long Europe UK – the UK dealership for the Chinese coach pioneer, which recently unveiled the first of a new range of mid- and full-sized coaches – will also be showcasing its next-gen vehicle innovations at the show.
New additions to the exhibitor line-up also include: Geotab – one of the world’s leading commercial telematics providers, which will be showcasing (among other innovations) its GO9 device for GPS fleet tracking; MSI (Micro-Star International group), whose FUNTORO brand is a global leader in vehicle infotainment and telematics; Geutebrück – its versatile video surveillance solutions now offer a new AI-based detecting solution that can be customised to cover all types of objects;
FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme), a leading accreditation scheme for fleet operators wanting to demonstrate exemplary levels of safety, efficiency and environmental protection; newly-founded Praetura Direct Finance, which specialises in coach and bus finance; Yara UK, one of the world’s leading producers of AdBlue – used to reduce NOx emissions in vehicles equipped with SCR technology; and Finnish-based Proventia Group – one of the first manufacturers of retrofit exhaust aftertreatment systems. Proventia’s NOxBUSTER® City retrofit system is approved in London for both ULEZ and CVRAS for a variety of bus makes and models and, since last month, now a number of coach models with DAF PR engines at Euro 4 and Euro 5 OEM level.
As for returning exhibitors, there’s no shortage of innovative brands keen to enjoy another helping of the show’s much talked-of ‘buzz’. Among those most recently confirmed are: Autocraft Equipment, Brigade Electronics, Fusion Processing (experts in Autonomous Vehicle Sensing and Control Systems), Premier Pits, Tranzaura (with its award-winning TranzTacho and TranzSafety software), and TransMach Systems.
They join previously announced major dealers and manufacturers: Alexander Dennis Limited, Arriva Bus and Coach, BASE, Dawsongroup bus and coach, EVM, Harris Auto, Ilesbus, Irizar UK, Mellor Coachcraft, Moseley (PCV), Noone Turas, Pelican/Yutong, Unvi, VDL and Volvo Bus UK.
“I always leave the show buzzing and energised, it’s a great showcase for the industry. I cannot wait to see what innovative ideas are on offer each year,” says regular visitor Richard Stevens, MD at Plymouth Citybus.
This year is no exception. For Mr Stevens and his fellow bus, coach and mini-vehicle operators, there’s a wealth of innovation down every aisle, to suit every taste and business need.
The comprehensive exhibitor list covers everything required to run, enhance and grow a passenger transport business. From the latest vehicles, workshop equipment, parts and accessories, engineering services and alternative power solutions, to smart tech, accessibility, ticketing, training and development and more.
