The new HAFAS Instant Platform HIP, a HAFAS Kids App and many new features for even more intuitive journey planning: HaCon welcomes InnoTrans visitors with exciting news from its divisions and partner eos.uptrade.
InnoTrans 2012HaCon and eos.uptrade look forward to jointly presenting their cutting-edge mobility solutions at the leading international trade show for transport technology: From September 20th to the 23rd, the software specialists will showcase their latest innovations in digital passenger information and mobile ticketing at stand 410 in hall 4.1.
The new HAFAS Instant Platform HIP enables passengers and transport companies to communicate in real time with each other. Using their HAFAS app, passengers can check-in to their trips and provide direct feedback based on various criteria. This feedback is relayed to the control center or the on-board staff and can be processed immediately. Thanks to HIP, transport companies receive information on passenger numbers, journeys and connections booked, and statistical data for improving schedules and routes.
One of the most important priorities for HaCon’s product developments is constantly improving user experience, especially when it comes to trip planning and routing. The brand-new HaCon Kids App will make it much easier and safer for children to use public transport. Grownup HAFAS users now enjoy planning their journeys via drag and drop and using interactive network plans.
Moreover, the HaCon team will demonstrate the immediate advantages of semantic voice and text input, for instance when using wearables like Apple Watch and Android Wear or HAFAS Bots that allow journey planning directly via the Facebook Messenger.
HAFAS Smart VMS, HaCon’s entirely web-based vehicle management system, now features an integrated navigation component for its driver app which is already being used successfully by SNCF Transilien to support replacement services in Paris.
HaCon’s train planning system TPS offers additional tools for capacity planning, such as a web portal that gives capacity overviews and adds a comfortable new feature to the order management process. Track closures and other limitations can now be planned with little effort and visualized in a clear way. TPS also allows for managing capacities on storage sidings. Moreover, users now benefit from various additional interfaces, e.g. to import infrastructure data.
The HaCon consultants will present their current EU projects: Together with numerous well-known European partners, HaCon is involved in the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking, thus investing in the sustainability of passenger and freight transport.
The information portal railfreightlocations.eu was developed for the EU commission and will also be presented at the HaCon stand.
