Salasar Adorus Infra has secured a contract exceeding $34m from Texmaco Rail and Engineering to install ballastless railway tracks for the Bangalore Metro Rail in India.
Owned by Salasar Techno Engineering, Salasar Adorus Infra is a multi-conglomerate in the engineering and infrastructure industry in India.
According to a report in the Financial Express, Salasar Techno stated that the design of the ballastless track will be in line with the three-dimensional geometry of track layouts, guaranteeing longevity and low maintenance.
As per the contract, Salasar Adorus Infra will design, fix, test, supply and grant the commission of ballastless tracks for a 175km stretch of the Bangalore Metro.
The firm has decided to finish a 5km stretch every month, subject to viaduct accessibility. The project will be implemented from the second week of January this year, according to company plans.
In harmony with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation guidelines, the project will be completed within a span of three years.
Salasar Techno Engineering managing director Shashank Agarwal was quoted by The Financial Express as saying: “The expansion of the metro rail network in the city of Bengaluru is in full swing. The company looks forward to delivering safe mobility solutions to Bangalore travellers who commute on a daily basis with the installation of world-class ballastless tracks in the given time frame.
