Transport Ticketing & Passenger Information 2015 welcomes the return of the Annual Awards, to acknowledge the organisations who have worked tirelessly to build, establish and deploy successful smart ticketing programmes across Europe.
Awards will be presented at the main event on 27 January in London, for the following six categories:
·Best bank-card ticketing scheme: This award recognises early movers in paving the way for open-loop contactless bank card ticketing. The category is for a financial institution or operator that has launched a successful new EMV transport ticketing service in the past 12 months. The award will take into account usage rates and ease of use.
·Best smart card ticketing service: This award recognises a transport operator or local authority that has launched a successful smart card ticketing programme in the last 12 months. The award will take into account the service user-adoption, duration and sustainability.
·Most successful mobile ticketing programme: This award recognises the best deployment of mobile as a ticketing technology. The award will take into account service adoption, consumer experience and innovative approaches to implementing the technology.
·Ticketing technology of the year: This category is to recognise a ticketing technology or solution company which has developed a brand new product which is set to revolutionise ticketing as we know it.
·Best customer serving operator: This category recognises a transport operator or local authority that has launched, scaled or executed an exciting smart mobility programme. This award is open to individual organisations or partnerships who are responsible for developing or operating the service.
·Industry contributor: This award recognises a specific individual who has significantly contributed to development of the fare collection and passenger information market. Operator or vendor, who do you think deserves to be acknowledged?
Nominations should be submitted before 5pm on Friday, 28 November. The shortlist for each category will be verified and then announced Friday, 5 December.
The shortlist will then be opened up to the international community of transport ticketing senior professionals to vote for the winners of each category.
The award ceremony will be held at Transport Ticketing & Passenger Information Global 2015, the world’s largest gathering of the public transport industry for smart fare collection and passenger services, on 29 January at the Lancaster in London.
