At the end of this month, visitors, exhibitors, buyers and speakers from all over the world will fly into London to attend the annual ap&m Europe summit and expo. ap&m is widely regarded as the ‘go-to’ exhibition for people in the global MRO procurement market, and despite its European title, it is very much a global event. Interest and attendance has increased year on year, and 2015 is set to be its most successful year yet. The total number of pre-registered visitors is up 153% on 2014, and pre-registered airlines are up 68%. In total, the exhibition will feature 204 exhibitors; with seven sponsors and three supporters representing every level of the airline supply chain.
Perhaps most importantly, ap&m Europe has built a reputation based on long-lasting business relationships that have their foundations in shared interests and trust. ap&m Europe has always had an excellent social focus, but this year the exhibition organisers have taken it to a new level. Its highly respected networking event, ‘Meet the Buyers’, has been extended over two full days, rather than just one. This provides more opportunity for buyers and suppliers to talk, meaning more relationships can be forged and delegates get even more out of attending than ever before.
ap&m Europe 2015 also features more social areas for visitors and exhibitors to talk. One of these is ‘The Hub’: a relaxed, informal area offering drinks, with a live DJ and a happy hour. The event also features an Urban Crazy Golf area and an Air Race Simulator – both contributing to the increased emphasis on networking and socialising in order to build business.
Delegates have spoken extremely favourably about the new networking opportunities available at ap&m Europe 2015. One delegate, a Sales Director at a UK-based aviation company, commented: “I think things have changed in the industry, and nowadays there’s much more focus on building trusting, lasting relationships. The greater the trust and honesty, the better relationship – and the better the service provided and received by everyone. It’s quite a step-change in the industry, and it’s really encouraging to see companies focussing more on who they’ve dealt with, who has stuck with them through good times and bad… when you look at the social focus of ap&m, it makes so much sense.â€
Another delegate commented: “There is a very good social side to ap&m, which we’re looking upon as additional networking opportunities. For us, it’s going to be a superb way of meeting as many people as possible and growing our brand reputation.â€
Jeremy Buckle, Events Director at MRO Network (the organisers of ap&m Europe) commented: “ap&m Europe is not just an exhibition but three days of relationship building with both formal and informal networking opportunities on offer. The 2015 event will incorporate all of the features of previous years that have made it such an important date for the MRO industry. ap&m is constantly evolving as we listen to feedback from our exhibitors and visitors, enabling us to make a number of improvements, including splitting our ‘Meet the Buyers’ programme to cover both days of the exhibitionâ€.
ap&m Europe 2015 runs from 27th – 28th May, and will be held at Olympia London. The event opens with a pre-exhibition Summit held at the Hilton Olympia on 26th May, featuring panel discussions with some of the biggest names in aviation and the MRO market.
