Automotive manufacturers and OEMs in Thailand will soon have access to a stronger inland distribution network and full portfolio of logistics services across Southeast Asia thanks to a new joint venture between WW Solutions and Mitsubishi Corporation LT (MCLOGI).
MCW Logistics Solutions, which will launch in April, will establish an efficient transportation and distribution network for finished vehicles, as well as operating motor pools and offering yard management in Thailand.
Looking to the future, the intention is to expand MCW Logistics Solutions into other countries in ASEAN, where WW Solutions and MCLogi will pool their technological expertise and organisational capability to deliver sustainable finished vehicle logistics solutions.
“I’m excited about this new partnership and what it represents in terms of potential and reach,” commented Michael Hynekamp, Chief Operating Officer, WW Solutions. “It will create a strong foundation to cater for further growth in Southeast Asia, and we look forward to working with MCLOGI to serve current and new customers even better in the years to come.”
The new joint venture will create a strong, stable logistics business with reach across the region, capable of weathering industry headwinds and reducing costs. The venture’s goals include implementing new technology and growing organisational capability using one fleet, one management system and unified quality and performance standards.
MCLOGI’s focus is international integrated transport logistics, sea transportation, warehousing, distribution processing, asset finance services and other related businesses.
“I am convinced that WW Solutions is the one we can fully share the same corporate culture and the same value with, and this is the major factor why I have decided to establish this partnership, which I believe will be the key success factor of the 50/50 joint venture with WW Solutions,” said Tatsuya Fujisaku, CEO, MCLOGI.
