Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been selected by the RATP Group (Régieautonome des transports Parisiens) to overhaul and repair 284 heating-, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems for Paris tramways. The review and maintenance work will be carried out in Liebherr’s new repairshop in the North of Paris until December 2021.
Toulouse (France), July2020 – RATP, the state-owned Parisian company that operates one of the largest city urban and suburban networks in the world, has awarded Liebherr a contract to provide preventive maintenance and associated spare parts for 118 saloon and 166 driver’s cab HVAC units. The third-party design systems on board Parisian tramways run with vapor cycle technologyand use the refrigerant R134a.
Eléonor Borrallo-Gautier, Head of the French Site of Liebherr-Transportation Systems, commented the contract award: “The adaptability of our service organization in Paris was one of the determining factors for this new agreement. We will carry out the repairs and maintenance in our new workshop in the north of Paris, that we have established especially for this purpose. We have putin place a large stock of spares parts at this facility which permits us to deliver reliably on time and to have the requested amount of units and spare parts available for our customer RATP. We thank RATP for their trust and confidence in our capabilities and hope that this contract marks the beginning of a long-term partnership.”
