JBM, the Indian manufacturer, is coming up with the battery electric bus, which is designed especially for the European market. This recent development is following the earlier appearances of the company at BusWorld 2023 and Bus2Bus 2024.
It is well to be noted that a new e-coach will come at Busworld. One of the trade media from Germany has now gone on to confirm that the vehicle is going to be presented in Hamburg at the UITP summit.
JBM electric vehicles, which is the division of the JBM group based out of India, has gone on to confirm that the 12-meter electric bus is going to be available for order with immediate effect following the UITP debut, and customer deliveries are set to begin in January 2026.
It is worth noting that the vehicle has been designed with major adaptations when it comes to the European operational context by including the integration of European components like axles, doors, and even the driver’s console, which are familiar to regional operators.
There are a few details that have already been disclosed. The vehicle, which is branded as ECO-life e12, is going to come equipped with a 424 kWh LFP battery pack and also feature standard ADS functionality along with compliance when it comes to all GSR and cybersecurity requirements.
As a matter of fact, JBM is reportedly planning to offer more variants in 10 m and 18 m formats after the launch. Apparently, a digital mirror replacement system is going to be the standard equipment, although the present design visuals still happen to show the old mirrors.
