Global security company Northrop Grumman Corporation has secured a contract with Dubai Airports to deliver the analytics module of its Airport Realtime Collaboration (ARC) service to Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS).
ARC provides accurate and timely information that help airport stakeholders work together more effectively. The service covers both terminal and airfield operations, and aims to improve passenger flow movements.
It also improves resource allocation, predictability and efficiency, while supporting airport collaborative decision making (A-CDM).
ARC’s Analytics module is a flexible analysis and reporting tool, helping users with historical analysis and presents them an accurate and clear picture of real-time airport performance.
Northrop Grumman Airport Systems group managing director Charles Houseago said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Dubai Air Navigation Services and Serco on this exciting opportunity.
“The ability to have real-time data at your fingertips gives managers and analysts a new way of looking at airport operations, with detailed reports able to cover anything from the last two years to the last half-hour.”
Dubai International handled more than 57.6 million passengers in 2012, and is growing at more than 15% year-on-year.
Serco DANS Strategy and ATM Development head Mark Green said: “We need the very latest systems in place to help us manage that growth and remain efficient.
“By giving both historical and live views of key metrics such as on-time performance, throughput and efficiency, ARC brings a step-change in our ability to see how well the airport is working.”
