Liebherr-Aerospace, together with the film production company Silberstern, took home the highest award, Platinum, for the “Industrial/Technical” category at this year’s Worldfest Houston International Independent Film Festival. The short film shows Liebherr’s activities and capabilities of its landing gear in-service engineering team, which provides customers with guaranteed quality and innovative solutions throughout the whole life of the aircraft.
The renowned and award-winning film production company Silberstern, based in Kempten (Germany), created the film in close cooperation with its customer Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Liebherr’s center of competence for flight control, landing gear, gears, gearboxes and electronics.
When watching the video, one can easily see why the film was such an instant and sensational success. Silberstern’s belief that “movie is emotion” clearly comes to life in this short video, as they precisely captured Liebherr-Aerospace’s characteristics in this production, worthy of the most prestigious level of award at the Festival.

The Worldfest Film Festival, founded 57 years ago, is the oldest independent film festival in the world and it is remarkably competitive. In fact, the festival is one of the top three most competitive international film festivals in North America. Winning an award from this prestigious organization is not a small feat, as they receive roughly 4,500 films from all over the globe annually, and only about 15% meet the strenuous criteria to be worthy of an award.
