The mission of DIMOS and its partner HUBTEX is to supply everything from a single source. The two experts in special-purpose vehicles from East Hesse joined forces in the Air Cargo sector in 2017 and now plan to provide complete system solutions. As well as providing the customer with in-depth consultations, production and sales will also be handled in house. Users of the air cargo solutions can rely on a competent partner who is able to optimally coordinate the interfaces of the process and has over 20 years of experience in this market.
“The Systems & Projects department will focus purely on the acquisition and implementation of intelligent system solutions in the airport sector. It combines consulting, sales, design, production, delivery, commissioning and maintenance under one roof. Creating this department enables us to operate independently of other system suppliers and to apply our skills as a system provider in every step of the process”, says Pascal Schütz, Sales Manager at DIMOS Maschinenbau. Before DIMOS set up the Systems & Projects department together with partner HUBTEX, the Petersberg-based manufacturer of (special-purpose) industrial trucks sold individual products to its customers through other system providers. However, this set-up did not allow them to take on larger projects. Becoming a system provider enables DIMOS to fulfil the rapidly increasing number of orders.
The mechanical engineering company’s customers will also benefit from the new department. The customers will work with a single expert who will coordinate all interfaces. And, in addition to individual product solutions, users will now receive continuous support during and after the implementation process. This is where the combined experience acquired by DIMOS and HUBTEX over the years will really be put to good use.
Although the processes in the air cargo sector are fairly standard, the users have to remain flexible. The solutions should be designed to accommodate peaks in demand, for example. Using products from DIMOS, like the multifunctional X-Way Mover for example, customers can control their capacities depending on the workload. In addition, the vehicle does not tie the customer to a specific location, allowing them to move at any time.
Flexible system outrivals conventional air cargo technology
The integration of new vehicles into an existing warehouse often involves retrofitting the racking systems. In a move away from this conventional air cargo technology, DIMOS and partner HUBTEX make changes to the vehicle and adapt it to the conditions on site. As a result, high tonnages can still be handled in very small storage areas. “We rely on flexibility. Our system solutions should open up new opportunities for the customer. During in-depth consultations, we will present all of the options that would be suitable for the customer and his particular set-up. The customer will then have a reliable partner on hand throughout the project and even after completion”, sums up Michael Röbig, Marketing Manager at HUBTEX.
