The Railway Industry Association (RIA) is celebrating the completion of a successful promotion of the UK rail supply industry at this year’s InnoTrans.
The trade fair, which was held in Berlin last week, is the world’s largest rail exhibition. At this year’s event, RIA organised three UK pavilions hosting 37 companies while around 90 other British companies exhibited independently or with local partners.
The UK companies reported considerable interest in their products and services, with enquiries from as far afield as South America, India and Japan.
RIA worked closely with the Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT, formerly UK Trade and Investment) to organise a programme of events to benefit the UK supply industry.
A highlight was arranging a tour of InnoTrans by newly-appointed Transport
RIA and DIT also organised a networking reception hosted by the British Ambassador toGermany, Sir Sebastian Wood, which was well-attended by some 250 senior-level delegatesfrom around the world.
