Central to Public Transport Purchase (CATP) is set to launch an application that will revolutionize the public transport sector in profoundly altering its use for users.
Indeed, by downloading only once this mobile application, customers can buy a mobile ticket (or more) via their smartphone and validate in all public and private transport networks in France and abroad.
Initiated by the Central Public Transport Purchase, with the support of ACT and GART, this app is complimentary to public transport networks to sell the unitary no cost to the community or to the operator. Pay options (securities and other additional services) will be offered to the needs of networks.
This solution is complementary and compatible with any network-specific applications, allowing them to benefit from a new sales channel from a specific customer: tourism, casual travelers, etc. For without mobile networks, it offers a free mobile ticket solution favoring the sale, reducing fraud and the sale on board.
The CATP has launched a call for expressions of interest from transport authorities and operators to gradually integrate all the networks and launch the application before the end of the year.
