Bridges

Manette replacement bridge was opened in November 2011. It connects the community of Manette to downtown Bremerton in Kitsap County, in the state of Washington, US. It is built to provide safety to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
The Gateway Motorway upgrade is one of the largest bridge and road projects in Queensland's history. The A$2.12bn project totals 24km and involved upgrading of a 16km section of the Gateway Motorway between Lytton Road and Miles Platting Road.
The Troup Howell bridge replacement project – the triple steel-arch bridge replacing the ageing Interstate 490 bridge across the Genesee River in downtown Rochester, Monroe County – with its 130.6ft width, is now the widest bridge of this type in the country.
The 1927 Carquinez Bridge across the Carquinez Straits, San Francisco Bay area, was replaced with a new twin-tower suspension bridge that opened on 11 November 2003. Construction on the project started early in 2000 and the project cost an estimated $240m.
The Ben Sawyer Bridge in the US state of South Carolina was built between 1943 and 1945 to connect the towns of Sullivan’s Island and Mount Pleasant over the Intracoastal Waterway. It has undergone a $32.5m rehabilitation and was opened to traffic on 19 February 2010.
